Book Being
Released on Disney's Nine Old Men

that focuses on Walt Disney's famous master animators - the "nine
old men". The 352 page book costs $42.00 and was written
by John Canemaker, who has written several books on the animation
industry including a detailed biography on Winsor
McCay.

WB Releases
Final Toon Marooned Cartoon
(by digitalmediafx.com) Warner Bros., trying to capitalize on
the online entertainment medium, has released the final episode
of its "Toon Marooned" series, which could be called
"Toon Survivor." The final Flash episode, that includes
a limited amount of interactivity, features the final two contestants
(Tweety and Daffy Duck) and their host, Bugs Bunny. The two final
contestants must face a final "immunity challenge" to
decide the winner of the cash prize.

of the Day - Pokémon to Launch Games Console
According to BBC News:
"Cartoon
hit Pokémon, whose trading cards, computer games and films
have become worldwide phenomena, is to be turned into its own
computer games console.
The characters
will be the subject of a games machine that will be just six centimetres
wide and will be on sale in Japan from November..."
