Keeps Up Pressure on Nickelodeon
This move follows an August 30 picket of Nickelodeon Animation Studios by the WGAw.
The mock election takes place today at noon (PST) at Nickelodeon Animation Studios and the results will be immediately announced by Assemblyman Koretz.
"Every American worker has a right to vote to be represented by a guild or union of their choice," said Victoria Riskin, President , WGAw. "We sincerely hope that Nickelodeon recognizes that the best interests of its employees would be served by abiding by the results of an impartial election without further delay."
The six Nickelodeon
shows where writers are being sought for union representation are: SpongeBob
SquarePants, Hey Arnold!, Fairly Odd Parents, Invader Zim, Constant Payne
and Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius.
