Aladdin: Nasira's RevengeNew Aladdin Adventure Premieres As Video Game
(by digitalmediafx.com) Tomorrow Disney is releasing a new Aladdin adventure, however this one comes in the form of a Playstation video game titled "Disney's Aladdin in Nasira's Revenge". The game allows players to assume the role of Aladdin, Abu and Jasmine at different points of the adventure. Game environments include Agrabah, The Sultan's Palace, The Dungeon, The Oasis, The Cave of Wonders, The Pyramids, The Crumbled Palace, The Ancient City and Nasira's Lair.

Disney's Aladdin in Nasira's Revenge takes place in the fabled city of Agrabah where the Sultan's Palace has been taken over by Jafar's evil sister, Nasira. She has come to avenge her brother's death by banishing the Sultan and his daughter, Jasmine, to the outskirts of Agrabah. Nasira places a spell on the entire city and commands that Aladdin be brought to her immediately.

The voices from the animated Aladdin television series are used throughout the game. The game will cost $39.99.

New Animated Series Coming to FOX Kids
(by digitalmediafx.com) This Fall, FOX Kids will debut a new animated series titled "The Rippling Friends". Created by John Kricfalusi and animation studio, Spumco Inc. (Ren & Stimpy), "The Rippling Friends" is about the humorous exploits of the world's most manly men, four superheroes on their quest to make the earth a safer place to be more manly. Fox Kids has slated an initial 13 episodes to air this fall as part of their new season line-up.

In addition to the series, there is a comic book and video game slated to be released this year in support of "The Rippling Friends."

"John Kricfalusi has to be one of the most creative people I've ever worked with. He's really this big kid doing exactly what he wants to do, creating laugh out loud funny eccentric characters in never-ending costume changes, vehicles and new worlds," commented Leslie Levine, vice president of Entertainment Licensing for Hearst Entertainment, in a press release. "Kricfalusi is completely tuned into what kids relate to and has created heroes kids will love to emulate with great catch phrases they will repeat over and over again, with interactive elements creatively woven into every episode."

The white-haired comic book legend may be the head of an Internet entertainment startup, but he still hasn't quite figured out how to work his computer...."
