Scooby-Doo and the Cyber Chase
(by THQ Inc. and Warner Bros. Consumer Products have announced "Scooby-Doo and the Cyber Chase" for Nintendo's next-generation handheld game system, Game Boy Advance.

The game will be released on the heals of Warner Home Video's newest animated Scooby-Doo cartoon with the same title: "Scooby-Doo and the Cyber Chase." Both are scheduled for release in Fall 2001.

"We are pleased with the success of the Scooby-Doo video games and look forward to the property's continued success on future platforms," said Michael Harkavy, Vice President, Publishing, Kids' WB!, Music, and Interactive Entertainment for Warner Bros. Consumer Products. "As one of our most celebrated properties, we eagerly await a new interactive Scooby-Doo adventure on the Game Boy Advance this fall."

Both the game and movie follow the same storyline where Scooby-Doo, friends, and a Phantom Virus are all beamed into a video game where they must defeat the Phantom Virus and find out who is behind it.

Scooby-Doo was originally created by animation legends William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, and "Scooby-Doo Where Are You?" is one of the longest-running animated series in television history. Currently airing on the Cartoon Network, the series is one of the network's top rated shows. Scooby-Doo was also recently voted kids favorite cartoon character on the Cartoon Network.
