- Prepare for CyberChase with Christopher Lloyd

HackerPrepare for CyberChase with Christopher Lloyd
(by digitalmediafx.com) Christopher Lloyd, the Emmy Award-winning actor best known as Doc Brown in the three Back to the Future films, has joined the cast of CYBERCHASE, an animated series co-produced by Thirteen/WNET New York and Nelvana. Lloyd has been cast as the voice of the dastardly villain, Hacker.

"I enjoy playing Hacker; he offers me a fun and challenging villain to portray. His mission to wreck havoc is constant," says Lloyd of his latest role. "One of the things I really like about CYBERCHASE is that kids at home can play along with the heroes to thwart Hacker's diabolical plans."

This CYBERCHASE has no relation to the upcoming "Scooby-Doo and the Cyber Chase" animated video. This CYBERCHASE is a TV series premiering on PBS in 2002, aimed at children ages 8-11.

The series features three Earth kids--Jackie, Matt and Inez--who are summoned into Christopher Lloyd Voicing Hackercyberspace. Their mission: use their problem-solving skills to foil the evil fiend Hacker in his mad quest to take over the cyberworld. In each episode, our heroes embark on thrilling mathematical adventures to virtual vistas such as mythological Greece, a volcanic island and Fairy Tale Land.

"We are delighted to have Christopher Lloyd play our lead villain," says Sandra Sheppard, executive producer of CYBERCHASE. "His uncanny ability to make kids laugh will support the show's mission to entertain as well as educate." The series' other executive producer, Kristin Laskas Martin agrees. "CYBERCHASE brings together characters, dialogue and animation in an appealing mix of story and content."
