Shrek Nominated for AFI's Movie of the Year Award

(by digitalmediafx.com) Shrek continues to make big impressions on critics and film boards, this time being one of 10 films nominated for the American Film Institute's "Movie of the Year" Award. The award ceremony will be officially held January 5 on CBS. This is the first year that AFI, which has put out controversial "best 100 movies of all time" lists, has held an annual "best of" awards ceremony. The movies competing against Shrek for the top honor include In the Bedroom, Black Hawk Down, A Beautiful Mind, The Lord of the Rings, The Man Who Wasn't There, Mulholland Drive, Memento, Monster's Ball, and Moulin Rouge.
