According to Joint Chief Executives Sharon Reed and William Sargent, "Over the past six months we have been examining the best way to position ourselves for the future. We are making this move with a clear vision in mind for the new company: to be recognised as the best digital studio in the world for visual effects and computer animation in feature films, commercials, and television."

Framestore's most recent major project prior to the merger, was the visual effects for the BBC's "Walking With Beasts" which aired earlier this month on The Discovery Channel.
