(October 24, 2001 - by digitalmediafx.com) George Lucas is attaching a teaser for Star Wars Episode 2: Attack of the Clones to Monsters, Inc. and Disney is more than happy with the move. The teaser will be the first official theatrical look at the newest Star Wars adventure, which is said to be much "tighter" than The Phantom Menace with very little of the annoying Jar-Jar Binks character.

The celebration from Disney and added income as a result of the teaser will be short lived, however, as Lucas apparently will include a full length theatrical trailer for Star Wars 2 attached to Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone which opens two weeks after Monsters, Inc.

The teaser being attached to Monsters, Inc. is bad news for DreamWorks, which was hoping to keep some people at home on November 2 watching Shrek. DreamWorks deliberately planned the release of the Special Edition Shrek DVD and video on the exact same day as Monsters, Inc. release.

Monsters, Inc. opens nationwide on Friday, November 2, 2001.
