Monsters,
Inc. to Cross $200 Million
Mark this Weekend

will pass the $200 million mark this weekend, breaking
Shrek's record for an animated movie reaching the
$200 million mark the quickest. Only four other animated
movies have ever crossed the $200 million mark. Those
include Shrek, Toy Story 2, The Lion King, and
Aladdin. The Lion King is the only animated
film to make more than $300 million at the domestic box
office.
As
of Wednesday, Monsters, Inc. had made $194.3 million

In day to day comparisons with Shrek, Monsters, Inc.
currently holds a greater than $10 million edge. Shrek
has been gaining a lot of ground, however, during the
