Monsters, Inc. Coming to Game Boy Advance
and Game Boy Color

(May 18, 2001) THQ Inc. has announced an agreement with Disney Interactive to release "Disney/Pixar's Monsters, Inc." for the Nintendo Game Boy Advance and Game Boy Color.

Based on the upcoming holiday movie from Disney and Pixar, THQ expects to release the Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance versions nationwide in winter 2001.

"Disney and Pixar have a legacy of creating long-standing animated motion-picture classics," said Alison Locke, executive vice president, North American publishing, THQ. "THQ is thrilled to bring `Disney/ Pixar's Monsters, Inc.' to life for children and parents to play together on Nintendo's systems."

"Disney/Pixar's Monsters, Inc." for Game Boy Advance will allow players to assume the role of Sulley, one of Monsters, Inc.'s most elite kid "Scarers," as he explores five different monster-world environments, including the town, restaurant buildings and the scream factory.

With human children considered an extreme threat to monsters, Sulley's mission is to return a little human girl back home safely.

"Disney/Pixar's Monsters, Inc." for Game Boy Color will offer kids an alternative side-scrolling adventure through Monstropolis. Playing either as Sulley or his best friend and assistant, Mike, players travel through more than 10 different locations at Monsters, Inc. and the city's neighborhood to interact with friends, and gather items in order to protect a little human girl and return her home safely.
