Atlantis:
A Look at the Characters
by Joe Tracy, Publisher of Digital
Media FX Magazine
Here
is a closer look at the main characters featured in Disney's
Atlantis: The Lost Empire:
Milo
Thatch (voiced by Michael J. Fox)
Milo Thatch is the lead character in Disney's animated
Atlantis movie. Thatch, age 32, works as a cartographer,
but he wants to follow in his grandfather's footsteps
to become a great explorer. While he's very smart, he's
also very curious...
Commander
Lyle T. Rourke (voiced by James Garner)
Commander Rourke is the captain of the expedition that
is sent to find the lost city of Atlantis. He doesn't
like taking order from Thatch as he is a man of great
experience and is use to making up his own rules...
Kashekim
Nedakh (voiced by Leonard Nimoy)
Kashekim Nedakh is the ruler of Atlantis. His age, 20,000
years old, makes him a very wise and knowledgeable ruler
that was a first hand witness to the original and mysterious
disappearance of Atlantis...
Princess
Kidagakash "Kida" (voiced by Cree Summer)
Princess Kidagakash - Kida for short - is the princess
of Atlantis and the heir to the throne. She may look young,
but she is really 8,500 years old! Her beauty is striking,
but she is a bit strange...
Vinny
Santorini (voiced by Don Novello)
Vinny is an Italian who specializes in explosives. With
so many caves to explore and secrets to uncover, Vinny's
skills are vital to the mission. Unfortunately Vinny is
a little too overconfident and laid back with the job...
Dr.
Joshua Sweet (voiced by Phil Morris)
Every expedition needs a doctor and Dr. Joshua Sweet is
the man for the job. He may be big like a wrestler, but
looks aren't everything as his kind nature reflects...
Helga
Sinclair (voiced by Claudia Christian)
What would an expedition be without a tough female boss?
Sinclair's role in the Atlantis expedition is second in
command. She's up to nearly any challenge as her "high
stakes" lifestyle reflects. Like the captain, she's
a bit tough...
Audrey
Ramirez (voiced by Jacqueline Obradors)
Mechanics are important to expeditions that go deep within
the caverns of the Earth, which is why Audrey Ramirez
is on board. If you don't have the same technical knowledge
as her, however, you best stay out of her way...
